Inevitably lost when I was found
I had a mind but it got lost
into the sound into the ground
I had found what I had found
A severed life, a single file
organised by what was mine
folded into what is time
speeding past me, I'm not there
too busy with my forever stare
into the unknown black abyss
the greater part of what I'd missed
the feeling of feeling it all
and knowing we'll all eventually fall
into the dark and in the mist
forever black and forever this
this haunting of my withered face
a lifelike mirror of life's embrace
holding me until the day
that I learn how to let it stray
out of my mind into decay
as death will solve me into clay
a piece in life's enduring play
