Burning Skies

Come and take the stars away
from all these heavy skies
tear 'em down one by one
and let the darkness fall
over bridges you burned
with a torch to light your way
you walk this path alone tonight
it's your epiphany of dreaming
in the twilight there's no sun to burn your eyes
they lit a fire by themselves this time
casting off a shadow dark
it bleeds internally
flowing in and out of truths
they seep away from you
then come back to haunt your dreams
to tear the fabric of what was once yours
to be and keep with all your heart
you'd never let it pass you by
but now you've missed it all
and so I say my goodbye
