All Their Lives Are As Big As Yours

I've come places
a cabin
dark and dusty
alone in the woods

I've come places
a ruin
dank and musty
desolate empty shell

And bullet holes
with children
and hopeless hopes
with forgotten fathers

I've come places
among mountains
and false lakes
green deserts

I've come places
skyscraper
and shouting traffic
in bright city lights

And broken homes
with children
and hopeless hopes
with forgotten mothers

I'm complacent
a murmur
against the backdrop
and all their lives are as big as yours
